Amelia Ampuero is Duke City Repertory Theatre’s Founder, Artistic Director and a member of the resident acting company. An Albuquerque native, Amelia is delighted to be back in New Mexico bringing theatre to the wonderful audiences of this area.
In addition to receiving her BFA in Acting from Texas State University, Amelia has also studied with the Royal Shakespeare Company in England and Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. Amelia has had the privilege of working with the incredible artists at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA, first as a Barter Player, performing theatre for young audiences all over the southeast and next as a resident company member. Favorite roles include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Sadako in A Thousand Cranes, Anne Shirley in Green Gables: The Musical, and Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Summer/Analiese in Genesis: Lead Me Home, Edna in The Mistakes Madeline Made.
Duke City Rep credits include Carol in Oleanna, Cathy in The Last 5 Years, Jocasta in Oedipus and Sue in Phoenix. She also directed DCRT's production of reasons to be pretty.
Amelia will also soon be appearing in the Trifecta+ Entertainment full length feature film Dead Billy alongside her DCRT teammates, Frank Green and Lauren Myers.
Amelia has been truly amazed and humbled by the realization of her dream and she looks forward to continuing to serve the incredible audiences in this great city and state. |

Frank Green is Duke City Repertory Theatre's Associate Artistic Director and a member of the resident company. Born and raised in Washington, DC, Frank received his B.A. in Theatre Arts from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Upon graduation, he began a 9 month tour with the Key Players (now Bella Luna Theatre) traveling North Carolina using theatre to teach social etiquette to students grades pre-K through high school. Next, Frank worked with the Barter Players at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA performing theatre for young audiences before joining the Barter's resident acting company where he spent the next 4 years. It was at Barter Theatre that he met DCRT founder and Artistic Director Amelia Ampuero who invited Frank to join her in New Mexico with Duke City Rep.
Favorite Regional roles include Sam in Master Harold and the Boys, Fenris Ulf in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Edmund in King Lear, Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Electra in Gypsy, The Hawker and the Doctor in The Who's Tommy. DCRT credits include Roy in Trust by Steven Dietz, Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, Creon in John Hardy's adaptation of Oedipus the King and most recently Bruce in Phoenix. Directing credits include DCRT's 2010 production of Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol and this season's production of Five Women Wearing the Same Dress.
Frank is dedicated and looking forward to continuing to serve the audiences of New Mexico and beyond.

As a native New Mexican and life-long member of Albuquerque theatre, Lauren couldn’t be more thrilled, honored, and humbled to work with Duke City Repertory Theatre. Having worked with DCRT since its inaugural season, her roles include Holly in Steven Dietz's Trust, Bianca/Grumio in John Hardy's reduced version of The Taming of the Shrew, Steph in Neil LaBute's reasons to be pretty, and Theban/Messenger in John Hardy's adaptation of Sophocle's Oedipus the King.
Lauren received her BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University in Orange, California, and favorite credits there include Our Country’s Good (for which she received an Irene Ryan nomination), A Piece of My Heart, Macbeth, Chain Mail, and Blind Date. Regional credits include The Reincarnation of Jaimie Brown at UCI and with Summer Repertory Theatre.
Locally, Lauren has also worked with FUSION Theatre Company, where she played Jean Fordham in August: Osage County and has worked in several productions of The Seven, FUSION's annual playwriting festival, as well as Mother Road Theatre Company, where she was Molly in Love Song and Young White Woman in Hellcab.
When it comes to the camera, Lauren has worked on numerous award-winning films and television shows, including Warrior Woman, Ilegales, In Plain Sight, The Troublemakers, The Lazarus Man, Retina, click.flash., L'Americano, Spiral, Enter the Dojo, Mindless, and Missing You, among many others. She is currently producing and starring in the feature-length film Dead Billy, which also features two incredibly talented DCRT members, Amelia Ampuero and Frank Green. |
