THE NATIONAL TOUR!
6 dates. 6 companies. 6 cities.
Serious actors.
No director.
One rehearsal.
Performed in a bar.
On October 5th, 2020 Duke City Rep will host & perform Much Ado About Nothing with members of LA’s Back Room Shakespeare Project here in Albuquerque.
Then we’re off to perform in Atlanta with Shakespeare on Draught!
No tickets will be sold for this event. It will be first come, first served on seating/standing room, so you’ll want to get there early to snag a spot. We don’t relish turning people away, but there is that whole annoying fire code issue.
The venue and curtain time will be announced in the future, so keep checking back or follow us on social media, and/or sign up to receive emails.

DCRT’s Bard Crawl is a part of a movement that began with Chicago’s Back Room Shakespeare Project. The idea that Shakespeare should once again be performed as it originally was- a script thrown into the hands of some dedicated actors that learn their lines, then run out in front of a boozy audience in a tavern and perform the sh*t out of it. That’s it.
Now, the movement has spread across the country. This fall, six of these groups are collaborating in a relay tour of sorts, where the cast of each performance is comprised of half the “home team” and half the “away team”. After their show in Los Angeles with Denver’s Shakesbeer, LA’s Back Room Shakespeare Project will come to Albuquerque and perform with Duke City Rep for one night only. DCRT will then travel to Atlanta and perform with members of Shakespeare on Draught. After making its way across the country, the tour’s final perfomance will be in Chicago with NY’s Back Room Shakespeare Project and the O.G. group that started it all.
